A unique compound
Retal Residence is an avant-garde urban residential complex for rent in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia which provides a unique perspective about living in Saudi Arabia. This compound boasts of a collection of a wide range of conveniences, salons and spas, pools, designated play areas, state-of-the-art gyms, a Dolby Atmos cinema room, skating rink, restaurants and cafes, a mini-market, multiplex, and bowling alley, and even hotel guest rooms.
A room to impress
The compound’s management wanted a room that will impress all their potential clients and give the ultimate entertainment to their residence. Labiib Solutions recommended some of the best equipments on the market starting with the StormAudio MK1 processor and PA16 MK1 amplifier, Artcoustic Speakers, Barco Balder projector, Control4 system, and Artnovion acoustical panels to create a Dolby Atmos 9.2.4 Cinema. The cinema can accommodate 37 people and can be operated with a single remote.
Transforming a large and not soundproof room into an incredible cinema
The room size was not ideal for a large audience thus audio calibration was an important part to ensure a great audio experience for the majority of the seats. The other challenge was that the interior design was done before Labiib Solutions was involved and the client wished to keep the same design- with very slim speakers from Artcoustic and custom build acoustical panels from Artnovion, the mission could be accomplished. The final challenge was that the room is very near to a basketball court and it had to be totally soundproof. A room-within-a-room solution was used to soundproof the room and obtain the best dynamic range.
The result was an incredible cinema providing a custom luxurious experience for all the residents of this living complex, complementing its modern avant-garde design living experience in Saudi Arabia.
