No compromises between performance and design

Miracle Melody, our distributor in Portugal, was given a challenging brief from a client to design a reference grade performance home theater in an architecturally complex space. The design must have all in-wall and in-ceiling speakers for the 9.2.6 layout, with an extra challenge to find space for the subwoofer and also for the projector, as the HVAC system occupied the same space as the projector. The client wished expressly to achieve all this with a modern design but without any of the usual compromises that would normally be reached within a room like this one.

Using StormAudio ISP to solve any potential acoustic problems

Bespoke acoustic panels were designed as a solution to have all speakers and acoustical treatment hidden behind it, which also acted as an additional design element, solving two problems at the same time. ‘Using a StormAudio ISP was a no-brainer because of its sound quality, flexibility and the potential to fine tune the final result, exactly what we needed to mitigate any potential problems we could face with the room’, explained Mr. Rodrigo Mourato.

The final result far exceeding high expectations

After the interior fittings and all the equipment was installed, it was time to test the system. Mr. Mourato recalls that excitement was in the eyes of the client, but, before experiencing the full impact of the room, the final touch was running Dirac Live, and the final result was ‘excellent, as expected. The post calibration result, brought all the transparency and clarity that the ISP is well known for, resulting in an extremely immersive experience’.

In the words of the client, ‘I had high expectations for this room even with all the challenges it had, but the final result far exceeded my expectations, the combination of the ISP and the PA 8 Ultra gave me the audio bliss I wanted for a long time, the dynamics are off the charts, and now finally I can enjoy movies and music with no compromises’.
