CES 2023: Dirac ART’s first demo with StormAudio receives three awards
CES 2023 ended a few days ago and Dirac unveiled its groundbreaking Active Room Treatment technology, exclusive on StormAudio beginning Spring 2023. The very first public demo of the technology in action by Dirac, StormAudio and Perlisten wowed everyone who were lucky enough to experience it in person.
The demo won three awards and was praised in numerous reviews and articles. The conclusion was unanimous: the results were unmatched and will change home theater correction in the future.
DIRAC ACTIVE ROOM TREATMENT
Dirac Live ART works like home theater active noise-canceling systems. The concept behind this is to use sound to cancel out certain problematic sound frequencies in the room. ART actively uses the speakers installed in your room to manage the room reverberations, reflections and room modes.
Dirac Live room correction remains as the first step, performing the basic calibration. The Bass Control manages the subwoofer integration and bass, and now, with ART, it also handles the room reverb issues.
This will be available exclusively to StormAudio users beginning Spring 2023. Compatibility is already confirmed for all ISP Elite (MK1, MK2, MK3) and will be confirmed later for other models. All ISP processors compatible purchased from 1st Jan 2023 will include this feature at no additional cost. Previous StormAudio ISP users can purchase the license directly from Dirac’s webshop.

AVS Forum granted the Dirac Live Active Room Treatment demo a “Best of CES 2023 Award Winner,” stating that the feature now takes room correction to a new level.

Sound & Vision awarded the Dirac ART demo its Editor’s Pick prize, announcing that Dirac kicked off CES 2023 with a remarkable new technology.
Residential Systems, TWICE, and TechRadar Pro announced the winners of this year’s Picks Awards, the brands’ annual program honoring the best and most influential consumer technology that was at CES 2023 or introduced in 2022. The staff selected winners based on the impact they’re expected to have on the CT and custom installation industries.
