“When it comes to price, StormAudio plays in the Champions League: the new ISR Fusion 20 integrated amplifier costs 21,000 euros. In our test, we found out what the French have to offer in return. […] Just over four years later, StormAudio launched its own variant of the “Astral 16” – currently the only AV amplifier from the French, who focused on AV processors and separate final stages. The new offspring answers to the name “ISR Fusion 20″ and, on paper, it eclipses all the AV amplifiers we’ve tested so far: 16 final stages under the hood and 21,000 euros on the price tag. But these impressive benchmarks are only half the truth. Indeed, specialists at StormAudio are notorious for being isolated individuals with blinders on for many things that don’t correspond to their core competence. This also applies to the ISR Fusion 20, which has virtually no streaming functions, for example, and no voice control either. But what the amp does offer is the very best in AV technology for the most demanding home theater requirements.”
