An Amsterdam Old South mansion fitted with the latest technologies

This project came with multiple challenges including the compact space and preserving the charm of this Amsterdam Old South mansion.

An obvious choice

The owner of this elegant home in Amsterdam first contacted our dealer Puur back in 2016 for a small Savant system. This is why they reached out again in 2019 when they wanted to renovate their entire home. They knew that Puur was the right company to realize this project. The customer wanted to completely rebuild his home automation system- this was the start of a wonderful assignment.

Fiber optic distribution throughout home

In this refined apartment in the heart of historic Amsterdam, the entertainment equipment is cutting edge and top-of-the-line. Throughout the home, various video sources are distributed to all TVs and the cinema via fiber optic cabling. This way, every screen can view every source.

Various systems are installed including Savant in-ceiling speakers, Architettura Sonora Sphere design speakers have been placed in the garden, and the terraces are equipped with Bowers & Wilkins AM-1 outdoor speakers.

A fully active home cinema system

At the heart of all this is the stunning home cinema in the basement. Our dealer installed a Dolby Atmos 7.2.2 system for this home. A StormAudio Elite immersive audio processor is at the heart with a Sony projector, Meridian active speakers, Kaleidescape video server and an acoustically transparent Stewart Filmscreen. The Meridian speakers are all active with built-in amplification. Indeed, this saves space in the server rack as space is a challenge in this home.

All in all, Puur successfully reached the the challenging expectations of the owner. Indeed, they created the perfect combination of historic charm and the comfort of cutting-edge modern technologies. And more, they did so in a very limited space, all whilst connecting all the systems to a central audio system. Well done Puur !
