In quest of total immersion
It is in his 32m², 2m20-high basement that David installed his home cinema. After contacting Melodia via social network, his project was born. For this audio enthusiast, the acoustic treatment of his room was essential: he was looking for true audio performance for his 7.2.4 installation.
After acoustically treating the entire room, including the creation of custom bass traps, and equipping the room with its own brand of made-in-France loudspeakers, Melodia naturally suggested that its customer purchase a StormAudio processor. With Melodia’s knowledge of the market, they were convinced that David couldn’t find a better immersive experience.
DIRAC LIVE ART AS A TRIGGER
It was the exclusive partnership with Dirac Live Active Room Treatment -ART- that first aroused David’s curiosity and encouraged him to replace his old processor with a 16-channel ISP MK2 a few months ago. And his feedback is unmistakable: he has gained in terms of immersion in every respect.
During calibration, everything was measured correctly, but Melodia and its customer realized that Dirac Live ART was able to correct certain points in the low frequencies. David now no longer perceives the position of his speakers, and the level of detail has enabled him to fully rediscover the soundtracks of his favorite movies.
David recently switched to a 9.2.4 system, adding TX-200 as wide channels and replacing his LCR front stage with the same Melodia PCS-30 floorstander three times. And it was after installing the latter that he realized the added value of Dirac Live ART, particularly in controlling low frequencies.
David is extremely pleased with the purchase of the ISP Elite MK2 and said: “I’ve clearly never heard such sound quality.”
